Venue

The University of Zaragoza was founded in 1542. It is a general university with over 35,000 students.

The Paraninfo building, opened in 1893, was originally the home of the Faculties of Medicine and Science. It is the oldest historic building of the University and known by its size, its high artistic value, and its privileged position in the heart of the city. It has been declared a building of Cultural Interest and has become the corporate symbol of the University of Zaragoza.

Zaragoza is a historic city with a long multicultural tradition. In the more than two thousand years of its existence, it has been influenced by four great cultures, Roman, Muslim, Jewish, and Christian, traces of which can still be seen today. The unique Mudejar architecture has been classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
